Vibration, Alignment and The Law of Attraction
If you read anything by Esther Hicks or her Abraham teachings, you’ll quickly learn that the secret of the law of attraction lies in our ability to resonate a particular vibration or frequency that is in tune with our desires. Basically, we are all made of energy at our core – and those molecules that make up our being on a quantum level are constantly in motion.
While, yes, I agree that science says we are all made up of protons, neutrons, and electrons in constant motion, I have a difficult time believing that my thoughts can change how, specifically, all those particles that make up my body vibrate. It’s one of the reasons I find the science behind The Secret somewhat hokey.

What does it take to manifest what you want? To me, manifestation is the act of focusing on or prioritizing a particular goal or desire and taking conscious action to bring it into being.
One one hand, The Secret makes it seem like all you have to do is visualize your desire and it will magically come into your life. On the other hand, many of the gurus stress that taking action is required. I tend to fall into the “take action” camp. I’d rather do something and actively create my life rather than wishing for things to eventually come into my life.

Today is Day 4 of my 100 Day Challenge to put the law of attraction into practice and I’m already starting to see some results in the form of new work from a current client and a referral that lead to a new client. Perhaps you can chalk it up to coincidence so far, but I’m grateful none the less.
If you take what the teachers of the law of attraction say at face value, the principle boils down to being a co-creator with the Universe to manifest your heart’s desire. From a skeptic’s perspective, you focus on one thing at a time and take incremental steps each day to achieve your goals. Because you are focused on one particular thing, you can see when you make progress, steps to overcome obstacles, and opportunities you may have overlooked previously.

One of my goals for my 100 Day Challenge is to manifest more money in my life. And while I’m hoping that I’ll win tonight’s Powerball lottery and thus solve all my financial concerns for life, I’m also looking for practical ways to make money quickly. Call it a contingency plan, just in case I don’t win.
I used to have the belief that if I want more money in my life, I would need to work hard for it. Fundamentally, I believe that if I want to make $100, I need to give at least $100 in value in exchange for cash. However, how I provide that value can vary dramatically.

Yesterday, I started a 100 Day Challenge to see what I can manifest in my life over the next 100 days. I mentioned that one of the secrets to increasing your productivity was to write down the six most important things you must get done, and to work on them one by one until each is completed. This strategy is fundamental to manifesting your goals in your life.
If you’ve watched the movie, The Secret, you got a quick introduction to the law of attraction, but the movie doesn’t go into much detail about how to apply those principles in your life. Perhaps you believe, but need practical advice on how to apply the teachings in your life. Perhaps you are skeptical – can your thoughts really influence what manifests in your life?

I’ve recently decided to make the most of these next few months to really end 2009 with a bang. To do so, I’m implementing a 100-Day Challenge for myself, inspired by the women over at CoCreatingYourReality.com who have put together a website devoted to putting the law of attraction into action for 100 days to manifest whatever you want.
