One one hand, The Secret makes it seem like all you have to do is visualize your desire and it will magically come into your life. On the other hand, many of the gurus stress that taking action is required. I tend to fall into the “take action” camp. If you take what the teachers of the law of attraction say at face value, the principle boils down to being a co-creator with the Universe to manifest your heart’s desire. From a skeptic’s perspective, you focus on one thing at a time and take incremental steps each day to achieve your goals. Because you are focused on one particular thing, you can see when you make progress, steps to overcome obstacles, and opportunities you may have overlooked previously.
